Kaduna 2023: President of Kurama Federated, Dauda Barau In Venal Case to Woo Voters for PDP's Ashiru

The Kurama Concerned Citizens have accused the Gubernatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Isah Ashiru of giving huge sums of money to the President of the Kurama Federated Association, Mr. Dauda Barau and some of his Executives ahead of the Saturday Gubernatorial polls.

Ishaya Garu, who spoke on behave of the group on Monday said; "We have just had an emergency virtual meeting whereas we discussed critical issues with regards our people and the way forward. It is rather unfortunate that the President of the Kurama Association who has sold his conscience for cheap silver just like Judas in the Bible happened to be at the crux of our discussion.

“It is no longer news that Isah Ashiru of the PDP gave them little money to put up a show that there’s a certain direction taken by the Kurama People. We are not aware of any direction; “Our people are voting not on the basis of tribe, religion, political party or whatever sentiments. We are voting on the basis of who is best for the job of making Kaduna State great again and particularly, the development of our people.

"Thus, we call on all Kurama people in Kaduna State and beyond to know exactly who their leaders are and what they stand for. We have resolved to vote a candidate who is capable of leading us on 21st century ideas and indeed, an intellectually sound and mobile leader who would govern without any sentiments." He added;
