OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU -By Elder Mohammed Rabiu Bako

As we approach the end of the year, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the accomplishments and strides made during your tenure thus far. Your leadership is crucial in shaping the future of Nigeria, and I appreciate the efforts you have put into addressing the nation's challenges.

However, it is essential to recognize that your actions, both in and out of office, will be the legacy you leave behind. It is imperative to build a Nigeria where individuals from every region—Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo—are treated equally and with respect. To achieve this, there should be a concerted effort to foster unity and cooperation among the diverse cultures and ethnicities that make up our great nation.

A sense of 'presidency' must be upheld in all state affairs, ensuring that development reaches every corner of the country. It is not enough to focus on a few regions; instead, we must prioritize inclusive policies that uplift all Nigerians and bridge the gaps that have too often divided us.

Regarding the Biafra agitation, I urge the Presidency and our security agencies to approach the situation with wisdom and vigilance. We must learn from the past and work diligently to prevent a repetition of the civil war's tragic events.
We must be cautious of a sect flying the Biafran flag either in or out of  Nigeria. While the government brings the agitators and non state actors to book, it is also important to engage in open dialogue, fostering understanding, and addressing the concerns of all parties involved as key to maintaining peace and stability.

In conclusion, I want to reaffirm the confidence that many Nigerians have in your leadership. Despite differing opinions, we believe in your ability to guide our nation towards a brighter future. Your commitment to fostering unity and development will undoubtedly shape a prosperous Nigeria for generations to come.

Thank you for your dedication, and I wish you continued success in your endeavors.

Sincerely,
Mohammed Rabiu Bako
Elderstateman and Senior Citizen, Kaduna State.
