KADUNA: The Ball Is In Your Court; It Is Either to Win or to Lose. ~Mal. Rabiu Bako tells Gov. Uba Sani

Tuesday, April 2nd. 2024.
In a recent development following the aftermath of the town hall meeting organized by the Uba Sani administration to showcase the financial state of Kaduna -has transgressed into open confrontations between supporters of the Governor as well as his predecessor Mallam Nasir Ahmed Elrufai. In view of this, Elder-statesman and Senior Citizen in Kaduna State, Mohammed Rabiu Bako has called on Governor Uba Sani to do whatever he thinks and knows best for the development and progress of the state.

Speaking to Sunrise Daily in Kaduna, Rabiu Bako stated: "Those who are aggressively involved in attacking the Governor without the wisdom of distinguishing between the right and the wrong in this matter should have a rethink of their priorities. Importantly, one must not fail to realize the extraordinary powers of a sitting Governor, what he can do and undo. I felt so bad coming across the rhetorics made by Bashir Elrufai (the former Governor's son) who has been raining all manner of insults on Governor Uba Sani. It is clear he lacks good parenting and training. He must be mindful of what he tends to bring to himself.  Maybe he and others should ask the father how he was exiled out of Nigeria during the time of President Umaru Yar'adua.

"The fact remains that Mallam Elrufai have since lost all his political capital following his antecedents of bigotry and the anti-people policies during his tenure in Kaduna amongst others. Now the fresh cases of alleged mismanagement of the loan funds have further exposed him to wild political winds. More so, the fact that he's putting mechanisms together to probably evolve a new political party has been making rounds and cannot be overlooked, Is his intentions all about taking power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027? If that be it, then how does he intend to do that when his major base (Kaduna State) is becoming so inconvenient for him by the day? How does he intend to even fund the party he is trying to fly and run against the Tinubu administration? -If at all that's the plan..

"Stressing even further, In the North where he hopes to garner votes; I bet he'll be very disappointed by the outcome because no one will support him after publicly disrespecting the northern elders. According to him, "there are no elders in the north but himself." Therefore, going round and meeting the likes of Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Gen. Babangida and other elder-statesmen from the region won't help him at all.

"Alas, the ball is now in Gov. Uba Sani's Court. It is either to win or to lose out. I don't think Uba Sani can afford not to stand strong. He has the future of Kaduna State to protect, his legacy as well." Rabiu Bako added;
