GOV. UBA SANI MUST REMAIN FOCUSED, RISE UP TO THE EXPECTED OCCASION AND STAMP HIS AUTHORITY IN KADUNA STATE. -By Mohammed Rabiu Bako

In view of the latest trend of discuss across Nigeria  and beyond with regards Kaduna State debt profile; It is necessary to set the records straight (opinion). For a start, we can all agree that no administration will find it easy when 70% of FAAC is deducted for debt service. 

Haven established the fact that the debt burden on Governor Uba Sani is outrageous, there is also the question of he being the facilitator of the $350m loan. It is important to also understand the fact that he facilitated the loan with a clear conscience of economic prosperity and not of dooms day. The Governor, clearly had no business with award of contracts and the financial management. With this, it is the responsibility of the previous administration to come out clean and clear on how the money was appropriated, as well as the contractual agreements. Also, is to know if all government spendings and contracts passed through due process like going through the tenders board with all BoQs. Else, the previous administration should be able to come forth and clear themselves in all. 

Governor Uba Sani's commitment to transparency should be commended, as it is rare to see a leader openly discussing the financial challenges faced by the state. By organizing a town hall meeting to showcase the financial state of Kaduna, he is displaying a level of honesty and accountability that is admirable. A type that may have never been witnessed In this part of the world (arguably).

Acknowledging that the inability to pay salaries is as a result of debts acquired by previous administrations is a fact -and it shows Governor Uba Sani's commitment to taking responsibility for actions that were not under his direct control. Clearly, this level of transparency is crucial in gaining the trust of the citizens and creating an environment of open dialogue.

Over and above that, It is important for opposition and usual critics to recognize that the Governor is not deterred by the propaganda and is focused on addressing the challenges faced by the state. The good people of Kaduna State are totally in agreement and support of his position.
His resolute nature and willingness to engage with citizens and share information for an open dialogue should be respected. Others who raise the question of always being in Abuja Should understand that Uba Sani must be in Abuja to attract investments, he must be in Abuja to lobby for the People of Kaduna. It is even better that the dividends of his travels are clearly seen.

It is indeed reassuring to see that Governor Uba Sani is not only focused on the financial state of Kaduna, but also in ensuring security and moving the state forward in all segments. This multi-faceted approach demonstrates his dedication to comprehensive development and progress. Now what is most important is for the Senator to rise up to the expected occasion, by looking into so many issues and to stamp his authority in Kaduna State. 

Nonetheless, the Governor's transparency and commitment to addressing the challenges faced by Kaduna should be applauded. It sets a positive example for other leaders and fosters trust and accountability within a government.
