Kaduna: Supporting Gov. Uba Sani's Administration Should Take Precedence, Rabiu Bako tells Isah Ashiru

Following the plan by the opposition PDP in Kaduna State to take their case to the Supreme Court with regards the March 28th 2023 gubernatorial elections; an elder-statesman and senior citizen in the state, Mohammed Rabiu Bako has stated that rather than engaging in constant opposition, they should join hands in support of the governor to move the state forward. 

According to Rabiu Bako, "While it is understandable that Isah Ashiru may be disappointed or feel the need to challenge election results, it is essential to consider the bigger picture. In any democratic society, there will always be winners and losers in elections. However, moving forward and working together for the betterment of the people should always take precedence.

"Governor Uba Sani's efforts to attract investments, enable security and relieve the people of economic hardship should be applauded and supported by all, regardless of party affiliation. It is important for the opposition party to prioritize the well-being of the people and work together for the progress of the state, rather than solely focusing on legal battles and allegations. Collaborative efforts can lead to better outcomes and improved living conditions.

Furthermore, It is crucial for politicians to prioritize the interests of the people above personal ambitions and focus on working together towards common goals. By supporting and collaborating with the administration of Governor Uba Sani, Isah Ashiru can contribute to the development and progress of the state. This unity will also foster stability and continuity in governance, which is essential for effective implementation of policies and programs.

Additionally, supporting the administration does not mean that Isah Ashiru has to completely abandon his aspirations. He can continue to actively participate in politics, engage with the government, and contribute his ideas and expertise in decision-making processes. This way, he can still make a meaningful impact and work towards his ultimate goal of serving as the governor in the future. It is crucial for politicians to demonstrate maturity, statesmanship, and a willingness to put aside personal interests for the collective good. Coming together and joining hands with the administration can lead to synergy, better governance, and improved living conditions for the people. Ultimately, there will always be another chance to pursue personal ambitions, but the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the people should not be overlooked.

Kaduna is multi-ethnic and very sensitive state. The state also doubles as the center of learning and headquarters of the northern region. It should therefore be given proper attention by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Our hope is that Kaduna State moves forward in all ramifications. Most importantly, there is absolutely no doubt that Governor Uba Sani has the full support of the good people of Kaduna State and we hope he succeeds.
