Lere Council Boss Tasks Residents to Cooperate With Security Agencies to Curb Banditry, Kidnappings in the Area

Following the recent attacks by bandits and Kidnappers in Saminaka, Unguwan Yango, Fadan Kahugu and Kawere communities of Lere Local Government Government, the Local Government Chairman, Honourable Mathew Gambo Kaku has tasked residents to fully coorperate with security agencies to curb banditry and kidnapping in the area.

In statement signed by the Special Assistant on media to the Chairman, Mr. Saifullahi Bashir Kayarda; "I sympathize with the families and indeed the victims involved. There is absolutely no place for such inhumane activities in our communities and government will do everything possible to bring the perpetrators to book and secure the lives and properties of the people."

"The public should remain as calm as possible, but must be vigilant during this period and report any suspicious movements to the closest security post. Most importantly, residents should cooperate with law enforcement agencies and provide relevant information that could assist the police and Security agency." He added;
