Abubakar Buba Joins Uba Sani, Makarfi, Others to Win the 2023 Nigerian Leadership Awards in Kaduna

The Executive Chairman of Lere Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Honourable Abubakar Buba has on Saturday, won the Nigerian Leadership Award (NLA 12th Edition) as the best serving Council Chairman in Kaduna State.

Abubakar Buba, who doubles as the ALGON Chairman in Kaduna State came first with a total of 77 votes to beat beat his closest rival, Honourable Zimbo of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area by 3 votes. Honourable Muktar Baloni of Kaduna North Local Government came third with 60 votes.

The event was graced by well respected dignitaries such as the former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi who also won the NLA man of the year award. Others are Sen. Uba Sani as political champion of the year amongst others.

According to the convener of the award, Mr. Victor Mbaye, "Notable men and women of diverse groups and associations in Kaduna were saddled with the responsibility of voting amongst the council chairmen nominated and as well all other categories to be awarded the NLA."

"There's no doubt that the awardees are recognized in respect of their great sense of leadership and dedication to service. It is also a call to do more work for the growth and development of Kaduna State and the nation at large." Mbaye added;
