  The Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Lawal Adamu (Mr LA) has reacted following attacks on his followers and destruction of campaign vehicles amongst others. The Candidate penned the below statement.  "I want to draw the attention of the general public to the heinous act of violence, destruction of properties and malice against my supporters by the person I defeated on the 23rd of May 2022 during the Primary Election for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium here in Kaduna. "Yesterday, the 26th of December 2022, my attention was drawn to the occurrence of a meeting of candidates of various offices in our Party, the PDP at the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Office in Kaduna. I told the individual who informed me of the meeting that I was not invited as such I would respect their privacy by staying clear of the venue of the meeting. Ahead of the 2023 General elections,  Hon Jonathan Asake, Kaduna State Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate and some key members of his campaign council are in a closed door meeting with the President of Igbo Community in Kaduna state, the Eze ndi Igbo Kaduna state chapter, the chairman of Igbo communities in all 23 LGAs of Kaduna State amongst others.  The Igbo who usually vote in one block in Kaduna state are  most likely to give their votes to Asake in 2023. 

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has begun with the distribution of thousands of bags of Rice to thousands of Christian faithful across Kaduna State to Celebrate Christmas. Following a statement signed by the Director of Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Salisu Abubakar; "The Senator has been doing this in every festive season and thus, Senator Uba Sani has proven to be a Peoples Senator with his benevolence that touches so many People. According to some beneficiaries at the pick up point, "Uba Sani and his likes have done absolutely well by putting food on the table of the masses in Kaduna and beyond -coupled with the high prices of goods and food in the market. Gubernatorial Hopeful of the People’s Democratic Party in Kaduna State, Dr. Muhammad Sani Sidi has distributed trailers load of rice to Christians across Kaduna State in preparation for the Christmas celebrations.  Following a statement by his media aid, "this is an attempt to lessen the huge burden that comes with high cost of food in the market, especially for the less privileged in his state.

The APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani, hosted the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria H.E Shri Gangadharan Balasubramanian in what is described as "wetting the ground" for potential bilateral deals and agreement between India and Kaduna State.  Those potential deals consists of improved and modern technology to combat insecurity, social issues and promote development in agriculture and other sectors.

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Labour Party in Kaduna State, Hon Jonathan Asake, storms Southern Kaduna communities to offer himself as a choice to the people.  First at the Palace of kpop Gwom, Chief John Paul, with adulating supporters all around him on Friday. The Chief described Asake as a serious contender in the race and went on to bless him. Asake went on to discuss with youth and student groups of the community, as he spoke wider and discussed his agenda when elected Governor of Kaduna State. 

 The Southern Kaduna People's Union (SOKAPU) Sociocultural Organization have suspended the President of the Organization, Mr. Dio Maisamari following allegations of financial mismanagement attached to his person.  The letter that was signed by Ali Musa (Organizing Secretary) on the 23th day of December stated clearly that: The suspension is to enable a 5 man Committee that is set up to investigate the financial mismanagement independently.    His immediate subordinate, the VP1 is to step in as acting president of the union pending the conclusion of the investigations. 

Following the release of the official and final list of all candidates to participate in the 2023 General elections, the embattled Senatorial hopeful for Kaduna Central Zone, Hon Lawal Adamu (Mr. LA) has his name on the list despite the repeat of the primaries which had his opponent Usman Ibrahim emerge as winner.   

An Elder Statesman and stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party in Kaduna State, Alhaji Rabiu Bako has stated that the gubernatorial candidate of the party is not ready to win elections.  Watch Video Below 👇 Following an interview granted in hausa, Alhaji Bako insisted that the crises rocking the party is deliberately fueled by some leaders of the party whom have already traded the party’s Victory.  He further Insisted that the electorates must vote based on competence and not party affiliation for better representation. The Kaduna State Gubernatorial Candidate under the platform of the APC, Senator Uba Sani have splashed millions for Scholarship grants the support indigenous but brilliant students in Kaduna State. According to the Candidate via a social post, "I had the privilege and honour of handing over scholarship grants to hundreds of indigent yet brilliant students in the following tertiary institutions; Kaduna State University (KASU), College of Education, Kafanchan, Federal College of Education (FCE) Zaria and Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria. He further stated, "I facilitated the financial intervention to create opportunity for the teeming students of Kaduna State who cannot afford to pay their school fees." "In my remarks, I reiterated the importance of education as the only thing we can give the children of the underprivileged to compete with that of the rich. Education is the greatest leveler. The Basic Empowerment Support Group (BESO) have presented an award of recognition to Hajiya Munira Suleiman (Zinariyan Saminaka).  It is an award in recognition of her tremendous role in Empowerment Programmes in her community and beyond.  In her acceptance speech, she thanked BESO and dedicated the award to her supporters and well wishers.  Zinariya's role in social development and more, have also given her good run in politics with an overwhelming supports of her people and community. This morning (05/12/2022), the Chairman of Lere Local Government Hon. Abubakar Buba, represented by his wife, Hajiya Iman Abubakar, launched the Children and pregnant women Week by delivering free maternity & delivery kits. The event was held at the Comprehensive Health Center Saminaka. After the presentations and Initiative, Hajiya Iman Abubakar visited the delivery room to see some women where she also presented relief items for those who gave birth, including some benefits such as reducing the cost of medicine. She further went to the Medical Ward to see and greet the sick, where she also supported them with free treatments amongst others.

All seems not to be well with the Kaduna State chapter of the People's Democratic Party with regards the media department of the 2023 gubernatorial campaign council. So much uproar have been coming from members of the media department which is headed by Hon. Mathew Victor Bobai, a well experienced media consultant and as well Chairman of the famous Privilege Communications Limited.  Following a viral voice note by Mr. Bobai, he expressed his disappointment by the way and manner the campaign in Kaduna is being run.  According to Bobai, "Our job is being undermined to the point that nothing is happening. We are not doing what we ought to do because we have no capacity to do, we have no resources at our disposal and our members are getting frustrated by the day. in other words, I want to believe that there is a deliberate attempt by the core members of the campaign council to frustrate us and as well the campaign.
