Northern Elderstateman and Senior Citizen, Alhaji Mohammed Rabiu Bako has has called for unity and a reflection of the journey thus far as Nigeria celebrates her 64th Independence anniversary on October 1st.  Speaking to our correspondent in Kaduna on Monday evening, Bako stated; As we celebrate 64 years of nationhood, it's a moment for pride and reflection. I congratulate our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our past presidents and heads of state, our brave armed forces and all citizens for our continued dedication to our sovereignty and security." "While we acknowledge the challenges of insecurity, poverty, and poor living conditions affecting so many, it's crucial that we hold onto the spirit of unity. BORNO FLOODING: Tinubu, Governors, Legislators Must Do More On Immediate Aid - Rabiu Bako

It is with great displeasure that I identify and commiserate with the good people of Borno State in this hard and difficult times. There is little doubt that the people have indeed faced immense challenges in recent years, from the devastating impacts of terrorism to the tragic consequences of recent flooding. The loss of life and the displacement of thousands are not just statistics; they represent families torn apart and communities devastated. In this critical moment, it's imperative for Governors and the National Assembly members across the nation to extend immediate aid in support and solidarity to Borno. Resources, both financial and material will play a significant role in alleviating the suffering of those affected. Collaborative efforts to provide immediate relief such as food, medical assistance, and shelter are crucial as well. Furthermore, a visit from the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom is currently somewhere in the United Kingdom would be a powerful gest

EXCLUSIVE: OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU

It is with utmost concern that I write down my dissatisfaction alongside many concerned Nigerians following your nationwide broadcast. First I must give you credit on some policies and tough decisions taken including the social interventions amongst others. Your Excellency, no concerned citizen is happy with the direction of the country and because Nigeria is now sitting on a time bomb of protests that is capable of leading to anarchy, we expected your broadcast to carry more weight so as to calm the rising tensions imbibed on citizens and particularly the youth.  Below are what the suffering Nigerians expected from their President and Commander In Chief:  1. To look into the issue of Subsidy removal because it’s was the driver of our Current economic crisis as well as diesel and AGO. Also to boost measures of suppressing the price of petrol to further caution the growing market inflation.  2. Drastically cutting down cost of governance: It is obvious that the masses can

FAYOSE'S UTTERANCES IS DIVISIVE, HE MUST SPEAK AND ACT AS A STATEMAN - Mallam Rabiu Bako

Image
The notion by the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose that the North is accumulating more problems for the President by marrying more wives and producing even more children is unfortunate.  It is with deep knowledge of the Nigerian setting that I maintain that Fayose is the one generating problems for the President right now because following the current state of Nigeria (economically and politically), the least to be on the president's plate is divisive comments. As a public figure, a person must be very careful with the words and messages he/she delivers. We need to try to avoid triggers. Ordinarily, I have been opportuned to work as a journalist in the Southwestern states of Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and Bendel States as a Chief Correspondent Of Radio Nigeria Kaduna with Office at Radio Oyo Ele Akade... I am certain, following my knowledge of the terrain that Northerners are not the only ones marrying many wives and of course, the north are not known for marrying ou
